Worship and Spiritual Growth
Communion with God in worship is the core of all spiritual growth. Worship is not just one practice but rather several related practices that are both public and private, both structured activity and unstructured free conversation. Cultivating spiritual growth thus requires regularly participating in the following four types of worship practices. Click the buttons to learn more about each practice.
Weekly communal worship with the church on the Lord's Day (Sunday)
The skill of praying by using words and ideas from the Bible
Private worship with a structure or plan in times set aside to be with God
Private worship in an unstructured, ongoing conversation with God
